About IGNOU CVAP – Certificate in Visual Arts – Painting
This course teaches the basic principles of drawing, color theory, and artistic composition. It prepares students to create original artworks using different painting mediums while understanding the history of Indian art forms.
Who Should Choose This Programme?
If you are a school student or a working professional who loves to sketch and paint but never learned the proper rules of art, this course is for you. It is perfect for people who want to improve their hobby into a technical skill without joining a 4-year degree college. Even if you have no background in art, you can join this to start your creative journey from the very beginning.
Why Do Students Choose This Programme?
Most students choose this because they can learn professional painting techniques from home while keeping their regular job or studies. The fees are very low at Rs. 4,300, which is much cheaper than private art coaching centers in cities. Since it is an IGNOU certificate, it is recognized everywhere in India, making it a reliable way to prove your artistic training.
Where Does This Programme Help?
After finishing the Certificate in Visual Arts – Painting, you can work as a freelance artist, an assistant in an art gallery, or take drawing classes for kids in your local colony. Many students use this certificate to get jobs as craft instructors in private schools or start selling their paintings at local exhibitions. It also helps if you want to apply for a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) later because you will already know the basics of still life and composition.
