About IGNOU BSCFFSQM – Bachelor of Science (Food Safety and Quality Management)
This academic programme teaches students essential skills in food safety standards, laboratory techniques, and quality control systems to ensure food security. Completing and submitting assignments on time is mandatory because they build the foundation for your final examinations. Without successful assignment marks, students cannot clear the degree or obtain their final marksheet from the university.
IGNOU BSCFFSQM Assignments Overview
The assignments for the Bachelor of Science (Food Safety and Quality Management) carry a significant weightage of 30% in the final grade calculation. Every student must score at least the minimum passing marks in these assignments to be eligible for the Term End Examination (TEE). These are known as Tutor Marked Assignments (TMA) and serve as a continuous evaluation tool for your progress. For each course code under the BSCFFSQM curriculum, there is usually one comprehensive assignment that covers various units of the study material.
IGNOU operates in two sessions: January and July. The assignments for 2026 are specifically designed for students appearing in the June or December examination cycles. It is vital to check the session validity mentioned on the top right corner of your assignment PDF to ensure you are solving the correct set of questions. If a student fails to submit their work before the prescribed deadline, they lose the chance to sit for that session’s exam and must submit the fresh assignments released for the next session.
Every assignment submitted must be the student’s own handwritten work to prove authenticity and learning. Plagiarism or copying directly from textbooks or other students’ work is strictly prohibited and can lead to the rejection of your submission. Your work is evaluated by experts at your Study Centre, and the marks are then forwarded to the Regional Centre for final entry into your grade card. High-quality answers written in a clear, organized manner can significantly boost your overall percentage in the Bachelor of Science (Food Safety and Quality Management) programme.

How to Submit IGNOU BSCFFSQM Assignments
To submit your work, you must first write down the answers clearly on A4 size ruled or plain paper using your own handwriting. Each assignment must have a professional cover page containing your name, enrollment number, programme code (BSCFFSQM), course code, and study centre details. It is highly recommended to leave sufficient margins on the left side of the paper for the evaluator’s remarks. Once finished, arrange all the pages in the correct sequence according to the question paper numbers.
Most students submit their physical hard copies directly at their designated Study Centre where they get a written acknowledgement or receipt. However, some Regional Centres now provide an online submission link via Google Forms or a dedicated portal, especially during specific sessions. Always keep a photocopy or a scanned PDF version of your handwritten assignments for your own records before you hand them over. You can track your submission status on the official website after 2 to 3 months of the submission date.
For the June TEE 2026, the submission deadline is typically at the end of March or April. For the December TEE 2026, students are generally required to submit their work by the end of September or October. These dates are often extended by the university, but it is best to complete the work early to avoid last-minute rushes. Timely submission ensures that your marks are updated in the grade card before the results of the theory exams are announced.
