About IGNOU Programme Wise Study Material
IGNOU Programme Wise Study Material pages bring together all course-level study material links for every programme across all Schools of Studies. Each programme page provides block-wise download links and eGyankosh references for every course in that programme.
IGNOU’s Self-Learning Material (SLM) is designed by subject experts and forms the backbone of the university’s distance education system. Each course is divided into multiple blocks, and each block is further divided into units. Every unit follows a consistent structure — learning objectives, main content, in-text activities, and terminal questions — so that students can study and self-assess without needing classroom guidance.
Digital versions of all SLM blocks are available free of cost on eGyankosh, the national digital repository maintained by IGNOU. Programme wise pages on this site organise all those links by programme, making it easier to find material for every course in your programme from a single page rather than searching eGyankosh individually for each course code.
📥 How to Download IGNOU Programme Wise Study Material
Use the search box above to find your programme by code or school name. Click View to go to the dedicated programme study material page with block-wise download links for all courses in your programme. You can also access study material directly from eGyankosh using the steps below.
Step 1 — Search for your programme above. Type your programme code such as BCA, MCA, or MARD into the search box. The table will filter to show your programme. Click View to open the dedicated programme study material page.
Step 2 — Identify the courses in your programme. Each programme page lists all the courses you are enrolled in, organised by semester or year. For each course you will find links to the individual blocks available on eGyankosh.
Step 3 — Download blocks from eGyankosh. Click any block link to go directly to the eGyankosh page for that block. From there, use the download option to save the PDF to your device. Each block typically covers two to four units of the syllabus.
Step 4 — Download all blocks before your session begins. It is strongly recommended to download all blocks for all your courses at the start of each session. This gives you offline access throughout your preparation period and ensures you are not dependent on internet connectivity during revision.
Step 5 — Use study material alongside assignments and question papers. IGNOU’s SLM is the primary source for both your Tutor Marked Assignments and the Term-End Examination. Reading your blocks carefully and attempting the in-text activities in each unit will significantly improve both your assignment scores and your TEE performance.
