About IGNOU MACSR – Master of Arts in Corporate Social Responsibility
This professional post-graduate programme teaches students how to manage social responsibility initiatives within corporate structures and non-profit organizations effectively. Submitting your assignments on time is absolutely critical because they form a mandatory part of your internal assessment and academic record. Without successful completion and submission of these tasks, you will not be allowed to appear for the Term End Examination (TEE) for your courses.
IGNOU MACSR Assignments Overview
For every student pursuing the Master of Arts in Corporate Social Responsibility, understanding the weightage of internal tasks is vital. These assignments carry a 30% weightage toward your final grade or percentage in each subject. This means that nearly one-third of your total marks come from the work you do at home. You must submit all required assignments before the start of the Term End Examination to become eligible to sit for the theory papers. Typically, there is one Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA) for every individual course code in the MACSR curriculum.
The university operates on a two-cycle system: the January session and the July session. If you are enrolled in the January session of 2026, your assignment requirements and deadlines will differ from those in the July session. It is important to check the session validity mentioned on the top of your question paper for 2026. If a student misses the deadline for submission in their current cycle, they must download the new question papers and resubmit them during the next available session to remain eligible for exams.
IGNOU maintains a very strict policy regarding the authenticity of your work. All assignments must be original and handwritten by the student; typed or printed versions are generally rejected. Plagiarism, which means copying answers directly from books, the internet, or other students, can lead to your marks being cancelled. Your Study Centre coordinator will evaluate your handwritten responses based on how well you have explained the concepts in your own words. These marks are then sent to the Regional Centre to be updated on your official grade card.

To ensure you are working on the correct tasks, always verify the session year and course codes printed on the first page of the PDF. Do not attempt to solve old or expired assignments as they will not be accepted by your Study Centre.

How to Submit IGNOU MACSR Assignments
Once you have finished writing your answers, the submission process requires careful organization. Write your answers clearly by hand on A4 size paper, preferably using ruled sheets for better presentation. You must fill out the cover page details accurately, including your enrollment number, programme code (MACSR), course code, and your assigned study centre code. Arrange your answer sheets in the correct sequence according to the question paper before you staple or tie them together for the final submission folder.
Depending on the instructions from your specific Regional Centre, you may need to perform a physical submission at your Study Centre or an online submission via a dedicated Google Form or Regional Centre portal. After you hand over your files, always make sure to collect the submission receipt from the coordinator, as this is your only proof of submission. You can check if your marks are updated by visiting the IGNOU portal about 2 to 3 months after the submission deadline has passed.
The submission window for the June TEE cycle typically closes in March or April of 2026. For students appearing in the December TEE cycle, the deadline is usually in September or October of 2026. It is highly recommended to finish your work at least two weeks before the final date to avoid the last-minute rush at the centres. Keep a scanned copy of your handwritten work for your own personal records before you give it away.
How to Prepare IGNOU MACSR Assignments
To score high marks, you should approach each question by first reading the instructions regarding word limits. Refer to your Self Learning Material (SLM) provided by the university, but make sure to write the final answers in your own words rather than copying paragraphs directly. This demonstrates your understanding of the Corporate Social Responsibility concepts.
